Need to equip a car with a mini kitchen – looking for travel appliances. Compact Appliance seems to have a ton of travel coolers but not so many microwaves. Microwaves at roadtrucker. I wonder how these work overnight when the car is off?

Eric recommend “Fantastic Voyage : Live Long Enough to Live Forever”:amazon by Kurweil and Grossman. Interesting read. The high level recos make a lot of sense and are not particularly new – eliminate sugars and processed carbs from the diet, exercise, etc. And these guys give good science behind these recos.

The crazy stuff is the extreme supplement plan – one of the authors takes 250 oral supplements daily and also has direct transfusions weekly. I am unconvinced of the science behind this – I am not convinced that flooding the body with a bunch of chemical constituents of intermediate reactions is a good thing, nor that we understand the impact on the entire sustem. But still interesting and a worthy read.

Is this cool or what – It functions via a chemical process called photocatalysis, whereby sunlight triggers a chemical reaction when titanium dioxide on the surface of the cement comes into contact with pollutants in the air. TX Active works most effectively in bright sunlight.

Rich reminded me of dxo and pointed me towards noise ninja and neatimage. Dxo is cool tho I don’t know that I really appreciate the coolness of it. NoiseNinja does more for me because I have really noticed the noise in some of my pictures. They all seem to work great.

Dad how can you not get this for tailgating this fall?

• If price is no object – Scarefactory furniture – most of this is a little too gory for my tastes, but great stuff.
• Cloud lamp - nice little project. I think 10 of these little touches can do a lot more for your setup than one big expensive prop.
• Various ideas on how to make flickering light effects from LEDs. Some more LED flicker ideas
• PVCplans – helpful for building structures (mausoleums, etc)

• Process Library taskmanager plugin. Just OK. does make it marginally easier to get process info but i had hoped it would pull info right into taskmanager instead of just a generic link icon. and processlibrary hides so much of its info behind a subscription wall. Still I appreciate the effort.
• Snarf. Seemed intriguing but I just don’t retain enough email to make it interesting.
• Griffin ifill. Need to try.
• Gamedrive. I tried virtual cd drives a couple years ago and gave up, they were too clunky. maybe time to retry.

• “The Cloud Atlas”:amazon by Liam Callanan. A little slow but builds nicely. A tragic tale set on the margins of WW II. Well researched. Ultimately I’m not totally sure I understand the main character’s behaviour tho, I can’t imagine most people enduring the abuse in this way.
• “The Innocent”:amazon by Harlan Coben. Ok but not his best work. A little too mary-higgins-clark-“I am your twin sister separated at birth”-ish for me.

Martin is always a great read – latest diesels in europe, audi a8. man I wish these were available here. as he says the citroen is hot looking.
